Salah’s agent provides update on future after Liverpool departure
Mohamed Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has provided an update regarding the forward’s future following his departure from Liverpool. Salah ended his nine-year tenure at Anfield this summer after reaching a mutual agreement with the club to terminate his contract a year early, allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
The future of the Egypt international, who helped his country reach the last 16 of the World Cup, has been the subject of ongoing speculation. Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal has been considered a front-runner for his signature. Additionally, interest has been noted from MLS teams in the United States, as well as Turkish clubs Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas.
Issa suggested on social media that Salah’s next destination could be revealed soon. He indicated that discussions are only held with clubs where Salah would genuinely want to play, avoiding engagements solely for generating publicity.
Previously, on May 24, Issa had posted that no one knew where Salah would play next season, cautioning against those seeking attention. This statement came hours after Salah played his 442nd and final game for Liverpool.
On June 12, Issa further commented on Salah’s situation, stating that both he and Salah prefer to keep sensitive future plans private and do not discuss them with uninvolved parties. He noted that while people might ask, they would typically receive a polite, standard response.
Transfer Market Activity
In other transfer news, Bayern Munich has reportedly informed Real Madrid that France forward Michael Olise, 24, is not available for transfer this summer. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund and Germany attacker Karim Adeyemi, 24, is reportedly moving to Barcelona in a 31m euros (£26m) deal.
Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be competing for 25-year-old RB Leipzig and Netherlands defender Lutsharel Geertruida, who was on loan at Sunderland last season. Manchester City and Tottenham are reportedly interested in Portuguese winger Francisco Trincao, 26, and could potentially intercept his 50m euro (£42.6m) move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli from Sporting.
Barcelona is also reportedly preparing to intensify their pursuit of Atletico Madrid and Argentina forward Julian Alvarez, 26, after this summer’s World Cup, with a bid of 130m euros (£110m).
Hull City has submitted a bid for Mjallby midfielder and Swedish World Cup star Elliot Stroud, 24. Manchester United is exploring options to sign two additional midfielders after finalising a deal for 22-year-old Chelsea and Brazil international Andrey Santos.

Newcastle United’s prospects of acquiring England goalkeeper James Trafford, 23, from Manchester City have improved as Aston Villa, a potential rival, aims to retain their number one goalkeeper, 33-year-old Argentine Emiliano Martinez. However, Chelsea is also reportedly interested in Trafford.
New Benfica boss Marco Silva is reportedly keen to sign his former Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha, 31, and a 25m euro (£21.3m) bid is being prepared to secure the Portugal international from Bayern Munich following his loan spell at Tottenham last season.
